The Dark Side Of The (New) Moon.

I'm so excited to respond to several emails and go on an investigation
to explore why recently there has been a consciousness in light of the new moon.  It seems to have a hideous, dark energy to it.  Relationship spats are being highlighted, paranormal activity seems trickster and there is a heavy emotional wave of collective depression.
And maybe it's not just the past five months.  Maybe it's been always but let me share some things I've unconvered through medical personnel I'm fortunate enough to be peers with.  There's also been a significant trend through some reading I've done.

According to my friend with the hospital cred, the new moon has a gravitational pull stronger than the full moon.  Gravity when at a very strong peak effects the fluid on our spinal chord. And you know, we are made up of over 90% of this amazing fluid called water. The moon has been said to rule the tides in the ocean and tides within us abide.   The new moon is half lit, exposing of course the dark side.
So when the dark side of the the moon prevails there seems to be a spike in emotional discord, suicide and over dose in the world of hospitals and emergency crews.
Spiritually and historically there are theologies based on all phases of the moon.  There is no doubt in my mind and that there are intangible changes that happen in our mind, body and spirit throughout the phases.  This is a great article for more about spirituality and the moons effects here .

I can see why in most light working Pagan or Neo pagan circles or covens if you will, counteracting the dark side with ritual for new beginning or blessing is so.  But according to the above article from the Spiritual Science Research Foundation, On new moon days, the Raja-Tama (Dark energies or people who work primarily with dark energies spread ghosts, demons, devils, negative energies, etc.) Those engaged in black occult rituals and predominantly tāmasik people are strongly influenced and receive black energy for their activities. As it is a time conducive for negative works. The Raja-Tama from the moon affects the mind, the incidence of Raja-Tama tendencies like running away, suicide or possession by ghosts is highest on new moon. Especially during the night, as the otherwise naturally available purification by the Absolute Cosmic Fire Principle through the Sun being absent, new moon night is a golden opportunity for the ghosts to cause distress to man.

So I'm going to politely suggest that the dark side of the moon is as such and we need to be very aware of how to appropriate it's energies, those working with it's energies and the things they conjur accordingly.

Amp up your protection physically, spiritually and emotionally.
Physically wear the appropriate talismans, charms or holy relics associated with your belief system to guard your person.
Spiritually put up a wall or a bubble around you with the intention of deflecting anything that is not of the light.
Emotionally knowing that if someone or something is out of alignment with your super good mood that it's not yours and staying positive in your mind with affirmations, music and meditation.

How do you stay positive sane and safe regardless of moon phase?  Would you care to share?  Please feel free to leave a comment below or as always you can message me of Facebook here or send me an email.

As it stands, question everything.
Nothing is ever what it seems.

4 Reasons Why Badmouthing Others is BAD For YOU.

I was talking today with a friend about the importance of words.  How you use them, positively, negatively any which way.  Words are like weapons.  Once you put them out there, they are pretty much impossible to take back.  Sure you can say you are sorry but it doesn't wipe the blood and guts off the floor from the initial bullet wound.  Forgiveness is key, but let's be mindful of our words from the get.  Dig?

Here's a repurposed blog to go along with those thoughts.

Everyone gets hurt. No one is perfect. People mess up. Mistakes are made. But the cross you bare when you badmouth someone else's questionable deeds or good fortunes, their life advances or personal tragedies is a very heavy one.

When you engage in loose lip service per say "warning" peers or anyone within earshot about someone or someone's "drama" or perhaps you seem to regurgitate the pain someone has caused you over and over to friends, strangers, clients, family members....wel…

The Sum of all Jitters

Monday, I leave my precious, beautiful and sacred bubble of Jim Thorpe for New York City to embark on my first week of Kundalini Yoga teacher training.  This learning adventure will stretch over the course of the next eight months. It's something that has been pulling at my heart for the last five years in terms of spiritual and physical evolution.

And naturally with most new personal mega shifts or changes comes a tinge of fear.
Yes, it's normal.  Don't use my words against me. But the 17 year old who lives somewhere inside of me sits up, batting her eyes so that I take notice.  She thanks me for honoring our future. She is excited for possibility and for helping others, always. But she bites her lip "even though we've come so far regarding our body image, even though we've done so much self love/self esteem work over the years, I'm still scared to wear white pants."

And I feel her..

It's not because I stain every white piece of clothing I o…
