Earth's Consciousness - Dear Japan

March 1st - Sitting in a room across from Arlene Duggan. A psychotherapist, psychic medium who I also am blessed to call a friend and mentor. I sit down and open my lap top to record some of her stories about the experiences she's encountered with those who no longer walk among us and the following is the prologue.

Reality is traumatizing. Mother earth is spewing and changing and demanding us to pay attention and yet, we are not. We as a people are compartmentalizing as we look at the world as something we can ultimately control. However, we cannot.
The earth will eat us and spit us out long before we have control of her.

We can see it now with a redefinition of the continents: The Christ Church of New Zealand, fires in the Miami wastelands. Tsunami's on the horizon (now/today we watch Japan engulfed and wait for raging waters to hit Hawaii and California) The earth continues to heave and spew.

I sit in this little metal box called my "house" and think to myself that it could be flooded.  I could wash away with it. Is it possible?
We don’t know because we refuse to tap into the consciousness of the earth.
This consciousness is different from the human and God and universal consciousness’.
We make believe it doesn’t exist.

Only Indigenous people know the heartbeat of the earth. They listen and take their cues from our mother and we do the opposite. We take from her without hesitation. Modern society is falsely under the illusion that we can save the earth while the earth is now at war with us.

I love to pick up the shamanic books – for exercises to get in touch with the earth. And I have been fortunate to be in touch with a monastery that has been known to ground themselves close to the earth.
They respect the our planet.  These Monks are in touch with the Indigenous tribes globally. If you go to the liturgy up there they will do readings from affiliate tribes (like from upstate NY). Indigenous people teach us about the earth and the animals (us being one of the animals).
For 30 years I have been exposed to this way of thinking. Humanity can only survive if it gets in touch with the earth and the power of the earth itself. We work under the illusion that we can save the earth while she in fact is destroying us on a daily basis.

At nightfall you can become so aware of colors and beauty of the trees w out the leaves – the branches crisscrossing with the sun going down behind it,  To understand how small we are as individuals …is perplexing. The oceans – the floor of the ocean is vast and unknown and beneath it – we have NO idea of what lies. We have decided I guess that it’s plastic – I can’t say that it’s helping things – it’s cluttering.  As a world community we are master hoarders.
They speak of global warming, which is funny, it’s merely a natural progression of the earths history. European scientists are coming to these conclusions and making them their truth. It’s nothing more that what the earth has been doing for eons.
We think it’s because of us and we can fix it.
WE can’t.
We have to go with it.

In the United States, Vermont used to be the place where maple syrup emulated. However, now this natural production is moving south. Just recently the southern states are getting snow as San Francisco waited for snowfall.  You can see these changes happening globally.
WE also have planet Chiron that is now coming into close contact to the earth. The 13th planet coming in JULY. This is going to have major effect on the tides, rise and fall of the earth and emotions within us as well.

There are afraid that there is life on those/that planets – simply because it’s the unknown.

What is the individual’s responsibility in all of this? What is each and every person’s responsibility to tend to the piece of the earth that is his or hers?
While it means to care and respect the earth itself it also means the people that we are responsible for the people we come in contact with. Blossom where we are planted. Grow in community.
We need to take care of the people that have been sent to us in our lifetime.
We have a conscience's responsibility that we have to live up to each day – it’s individual – it won’t mean the same for everyone.
We like to suck at the breast of fantasy so as not to have to deal with reality – a world economy that is unraveling – it’s global.

How do we claim our responsibility?
Knowledge of Thyself.

Values Clarification.  Values are missing in our society an economic professor told me that two things are missing in curriculum – economics and values clarification/morality. We don’t teach it. There is no conduct or code. Looking back on my life, there was a rule of conduct in the schools I went to, neighborhoods I grew up in and within the family. Young people don’t have that today.
One big factor – under funding of schools and putting children in charge of the adults – rather than the adults in charge of children. We are stripping the educational system of arts, music and physical Ed – which is going to have disastrous results, no I'm sorry, which is having disastrous effects.
My daughter was bitching last night that these things have been replaced with a technical class in her daughters school. My granddaughters new tech class was to make exploding bottle rockets. My granddaughter failed because hers didn’t get off the ground.

We are teaching violence. Everyone acts out on this stuff. It's truly a ripple effect.
Every day there is murder and shootings and a car runs through a house (which seems to be indicative of The Poconos).  Funding for war games was recently increased as funding for musical games like guitar hero are taken away.  War (even within ourselves) is never the answer but a catalyst to our ultimate demise.

Clarify your values and get in touch with what it is that is at your core.
Fill yourself with love.
Love yourself kindly and then spread that love to others. This is not sexual love, but love that generates compassionate conversation, forgiveness and empathy.
It's not about just a good deed a day.  This world needs sacrifice much bigger than that.

Addendum/ March 11th. - From Michelle
While we sit and watch our brothers and sisters in Japan struggle, while we wait to see if tsunami waters will reach Hawaii and California - we can turn our anticipation into prayer.
While we wait we can send the universe's love and light to those places - actually see them in our minds eye and pray for the earth's tranquility. Pray for the safety of our children and our brothers and sisters in this wicked reality.
Have a moment of silence for those we've lost, for those we love and for us.
